【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasuresthetendencyofautomotivemanualtransmissionandfinaldrivelubricantstodeteriorateunderhigh-temperatureconditions,resultinginthickoil,sludge,carbonandvarnishdeposits,andtheformationofcorrosiveproducts.Thisdeteriorationcanleadtoseriousequipmentperformanceproblems,including,inparticular,sealfailuresduetodepositformationattheshaft-sealinterface.Thistestmethodisusedtoscreenlubricantsforproblematicadditivesandbaseoilswithregardtothesetendencies.Thistestmethodisusedorreferredtointhefollowingdocuments:AmericanPetroleumInstitute(API)Publication1560-LubricantServiceDesignationsforAutomotiveManualTransmissions,ManualTransaxles,andAxles,STP-512Ax2013;LaboratoryPerformanceTestsforAutomotiveGearLubricantsIntendedforAPIGL-5Service,SAEJ308-InformationReportonAxleandManualTransmissionLubricants,andU.S.MilitarySpecificationMIL-L-2105D.1.1ThistestmethodiscommonlyreferredtoastheL-60-1test.Itcoverstheoil-thickening,insolubles-formation,anddeposit-formationcharacteristicsofautomotivemanualtransmissionandfinaldriveaxlelubricatingoilswhensubjectedtohigh-temperatureoxidizingconditions.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.2.1Exceptions8212;ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsforcatalystmassloss,oilmassandvolume,alternatoroutput,andairflowaretoberegardedasstandard.1.2.2SIunitsareprovidedforallparametersexceptwherethereisnodirectequivalentsuchastheunitsforscrewthreads,orwherethereisasolesourcesupplyequipmentspecification.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarninginformationisgiveninSections7and8andAnnexA3.
